Paul Stanley (born Stanley Bert Eisen; January 20, 1952) is an American musician who is the co-founder, frontman, rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the hard rock band Kiss (KISS). He is the writer or co-writer of many of the band's most popular songs. Stanley established The Starchild character for his Kiss persona. Stanley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of Kiss.
In 2006, Hit Parader ranked him 18th on their list of the Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time.[1] A Gibson.com readers' poll in 2010 named him 13th on their list of Top 25 Frontmen.[2]
Stanley Bert Eisen was born January 20, 1952,[3] in upper Manhattan, New York City, near 211th St. and Broadway; the Inwood neighborhood near Inwood Hill Park. Both of his parents are Jewish. He was the second of two children; his sister Julia[4] is two years older. Their mother came from a family that fled Nazi Germany to Amsterdam, Netherlands, and then to New York City. His father's parents were from Poland. Stanley was raised Jewish, although he did not consider his family very observant and did not celebrate his bar mitzvah.[5] His parents listened to classical music and light opera; Stanley was greatly moved by Beethoven's works.
Simmons was born as Chaim Witz on August 25, 1949, at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Israel, to Jewish refugees from Hungary. His mother, Florence Klein (1925–2018; née Flóra Kovács), was born in Jánd and survived internment in Nazi concentration camps.[1] She and her brother, Larry Klein, were the only members of the family to survive the Holocaust. Simmons' father, Ferenc "Feri" Yehiel Witz (1925–2002), was a carpenter. Simmons spent his early childhood in Tirat Carmel and was raised in a practicing Jewish household. He has said that his family was "dirt poor", scraping by on rationed bread and milk.[2] At the age of seven, he began to pick wild fruit and sell it on roadsides together with a friend.[3]
Aged eight, he and his mother immigrated to the United States, settling in New York City. His father remained in Israel, where he has another son and three daughters. In the United States, Simmons changed his name to Gene Klein, adopting his mother's maiden name. When he was nine, he briefly attended a Jewish religious school, Yeshiva Torah Vodaas, before transferring to a public school.[4] He later attended Richmond College[5] and Sullivan County Community College, both in New York, and chose a stage name in tribute to the rockabilly singer Jumpin' Gene Simmons.[6] He practiced playing his guitar for hours on end.[7] Before his musical career began, Klein worked a variety of jobs in the city. A proficient typist, he served as an assistant to an editor of Vogue, and spent several months as a sixth grade instructor on the Upper West Side.[8]
With their makeup and costumes, the band members took on the personas of comic book-style characters: the Starchild (Stanley), the Demon (Simmons), the Spaceman or Space Ace (Frehley), and the Catman (Criss). Due to creative differences, Criss departed the band in 1980 and Frehley in 1982. They were replaced by Eric Carr (the Fox) and Vinnie Vincent (the Ankh Warrior), respectively.

シモンズは軽い症状が出ているとのこと。以下声明より

上杉佐一郎氏（１９１９年４月１６日生～１９９６年５月１０日没）、
１９８２年に部落解放同盟中央執行委員長に就任、亡くなるまで委員長（１９８２年～１９９６年）。
福岡県三井郡出身、「部落解放の父」と呼ばれる松本治一郎（実業家、政治家。１９３５年から国会議員、最後は１９４９年まで参院副議長／松本組の創業者）に見い出され、部落解放運動に参画、頂点に上り詰めた人物。義弟の上杉昌也氏ともども、いつごろから京都にも居宅を持ったのかは不知（京都も同和の一大地でもある）。福岡市西区で、左右の同和間で揉めたときも上杉氏が出てきて押さえ込んだことがあった（２０００年代であり昌也氏と思われる）。
２００２年にスタートした福岡市が実質主体の広大な区画整理事業での渡辺通り再開発、国体道路の南側の大再開発であったが、何故か一部、国体道路の北側も区画整理に組み入れられていた。その中に京都通信機建設工業の福岡本社ビルもあった。当時記者は、福岡市役所に出向いて担当課に北側がどうして入っているか質問したが、「計画図面のとおりです」の一点張りで一切答えなかった。当区画整理事業地内にはいろいろな問題を抱えた一帯も多く存在、１９９５年に閉店したキャバレー南などもあった。
当地では、福岡で対立する地元・中央傘下・地方のいろいろなところが出先を構え、当開発にも関係していた。そんじょそこらの人物では纏め上げられないのが現実の再開発事業でもあった。上杉佐一郎氏は、１９８７年２月に、東京ホテルニューオータニ「鶴の間」で対談集『連帯を求めて』の出版記念パーティを開催、会費は２万円（当時としては高額）で約２０００人が出席。
１９８７年４月には、上杉佐一郎氏と異母弟の上杉昌也ともども美空ひばりと親交があり、福岡済生会病院に、上杉佐一郎氏の紹介により「美空ひばりさん」が長期入院した。
若いときの美空ひばりの後援者は、山口組３代目田岡一雄組長（頭山満や玄洋社を崇拝）だったことが知られている。
餃子の王将の創業者加藤朝雄氏とも親しく、王将が餃子の店を全国に展開した時、３００億円あまりの資金をメガバンクに迂回させ地銀から調達させたとされる。当時の同社は、到底借り入れることができない額だった。当時から京都の裏社会では「『王将』のバックは、上杉佐一郎さん」としていたようだ。最盛期の上杉委員長の力は絶大なもの、（税務申告の書類に）部落解放同盟のハンコがあれば税金フリーパスだったという。京都の財界人も、多かれ少なかれ世話になっていたという。
