大谷翔平の5月…牽制球を太ももに受けた前後で成績一変

　米大リーグ・ドジャースの大谷翔平投手は5月、ナ・リーグトップタイの月間7本塁打を残した。ただ、惜しまれるのは後半の成績急落だ。5月16日（同17日）のレッズ戦で左太ももに牽制球を受ける前後で成績を分けると、打率が.452から.196に急落。日本人ファンからは「影響は今でもある」「変な癖ついてないといいけど」と、負傷に唇を噛むかのような声が上がっている。

　大谷は16日（同17日）のレッズ戦、初回に四球で出塁した際に左太もも裏に牽制を受けた。痛がるそぶりを見せたものの、そのままプレーに復帰。欠場などはなかったが、影響は数字にはっきり表れていた。

　15日（同16日）までの11試合の成績が42打数19安打、5本塁打で打率.452、長打率も.857に達するのに対し、この日以降13試合の成績は51打数10安打、2本塁打で打率は.196、長打率に至っては.372まで下落する。X上のファンからは、決定的理由によって失われた絶好調期間を惜しむ声が上がった。

「大谷の牽制球が当たった影響は今でもあると思う。下半身に力がない様だ」
「脳も身体も想定外だったからダメージが大きかったかね？」
「大谷さん牽制球受けてから明らかに調子悪い　変な癖ついてないといいけど」

　それでも月間7本塁打はハーパー（フィリーズ）とオズナ（ブレーブス）に並ぶナ・リーグトップ。いったい負傷がなければどれだけの数字を残していたのか……。「牽制球ぶつけられてからの成績下降が痛すぎた」「牽制球で打撲する前の状態に戻ってくれー」とたった一つのプレーを嘆く声も。近年、大爆発する6月に入り、真の復調が期待される。
